The Italian Geochemical Society is a non-profit scientific society founded to promote the study of geochemistry and its application to all fields of Earth Sciences and Planetary Sciences. To achieve its objectives, the Italian Geochemical Society promotes and organizes conferences, specialization schools, educational meetings and educational initiatives, bestows research awards, promotes cultural exchanges with similar associations at national and international level, promotes collaboration between Universities, Research Agencies and Professional Organizations. The initiatives promoted by the Italian Geochemical Society concern all aspects of the discipline, such as organic geochemistry, isotopic geochemistry, environmental geochemistry, geochemistry of high temperature systems, and related disciplines such as petrology, volcanology, planetology.
